Starting a home blueberry patch is a good way to grow your own organic foods that are high in anti-oxidants.  Blueberry bushes grow up to 6 feet tall and produce large quantities of sweet fruit.

We are currently providing three varieties of Rabbiteye Blueberry Plants that are 5" to 10" tall with a well developed root system.  We have several varieties and recommend you purchase at least two varieties to assist in cross-pollination to increase fruit yeild.

These varieties will do well in the southern portion of the United States from North Carolina to New Mexico.  We cannot ship to California, Oregon, Hawaii or the Virgin Islands and we cannot ship outside the United States due to Global Plant Protection laws.

Plants are shipped bare root by USPS Priority Mail to assure that you receive your plants within 2 to 3 days of shipping.

Blueberries require a soil pH of 4.3 to 5.6 for best growth (this is generally more acidic than most gardens or lawns). If the initial pH is above 6.0, growing blueberries will be difficult unless you mix a lot of peat moss or milled pine bark into the soil.  If your soil pH is in the range of 5.6 to 6.0, sulfur can be applied six months before planting to lower the pH.  Sulfur can also be applied after planting to the soil surface but not mixed with the soil. Rates of up to 7/10 pound per 100 square feet can be used yearly, if needed.

We recommend that you mix your planting site with lots of organic material prior to planting, unless your site is "new ground" that was previously a standing forest.  Pine bark or peat moss is best, but other organic material like wood chips, peanut hulls, sawdust etc. would work.  Do not use cypress.
